In 1989, a bloody civil war started in Liberia, which claimed the lives of 250000 people and forced 1.2 million Liberians into exile. During the war, Torli Krua, a contractor at the US Embassy, in Monrovia, witnessed racial discrimination against defenseless Liberians. He was inspired to create a movement with a mission of training refugees to fight for their rights. This inspiration gave birth to Universal Human Rights International. As Liberia head back into chaos due to endemic corruption at home and sustained racial discrimination in America, Krua founded the Free Liberia Movement to equip and organize Liberians in the Diaspora and at home to create awareness about US Visa Waiver for all Liberians to access education, employment and business opportunities, consistent with Article 1 of the 1824 Constitution of Liberia, which is still in force ( American Declaration of Independence & Case Law Brom & Betts V. Ashley 1781, Misc. Article 1 of the 1847 Constitution and Article 95 of the 1986 Constitution of Liberia).
The Free Liberia Movement is blessed with a team of seasoned trainers, facilitators and activists with experience in civic leadership from the United States and Africa. They include, American legislators, international human rights activists, veteran civil rights leaders , refugee leaders, lawmakers, financial specialists, philanthropists, youth leaders, Geologists, clergy and lawyers.

Most Liberians know our country is corrupt and the citizens are poor but they have no idea why the citizens of a small rich country are poor and why our governance system is corrupt to the core. It took 30 years of research to uncover the roots and secrets of corruption and poverty; our country is broken and corrupt not by accident but by design of our founding fathers, a group of white supremacists, American Slave Masters and the US Government who were not interested in liberty, justice, equal opportunities or democracy. Liberia, an American Colony, was created in the USA with the expressed purpose of keeping Africans enslaved and in poverty. The mission of Free Liberia is to uncover the deception and evil plots of American Slave Masters and the US Government to enslave Africans and keep us in poverty, expose the truth about our wealth, opportunities and privileges and rights denied for over 200 years, to give Liberians two clear options from which to choose: First option the status quo- continue electing new politicians in the old broken and corrupt system created by white slave owners to enslave the citizens while enriching and empowering politicians or option two to hold a public hearing and a sovereign national conference for rebirth and a new beginning for our country. We have established a digital platform for citizens to decide our future before the December 8, 2020 elections.
